SYCL 2026 is a conference celebrating the art of creating software for humans. It will take place outside of Vancouver, in Coquitlam and Port Moody. Subscribe to Updates to learn when the exact dates are planned, and when tickets go on sale.
It’s organized by Matthew Knight, general member of the SYCL community, with support from Loris Cro. It will take place in Vancouver, Canada, October 3-6. Matthew can be found on Codeberg, GitHub, Bluesky, or contacted via Email.
There aren’t many hotels near the venues. If you do wish to stay close I suggest taking a look at Airbnb as there seem to be a number of affordable options in the area.
For hotels, I suggest looking for ones near Skytrain stations between Downtown and the venues. Two suggestions are Executive Suites Hotel near Brentwood Station, and Executive Plaza Hotel near Lougheed Station. This will simplify getting to SYCL as you’ll only need to take a Skytrain, and has the added benefit of making Downtown more accessible outside of the conference.

Yes. For tables day you can park at Moody Centre Station and walk over to Site B, and for the talks days, the Evergreen Cultural Centre has a parking lot.
